Ok so this will not be your typical blog post that puts you to sleep about what skincare routine is this or that. NOPE! This blog post is about your skincare from a "healing holistically" approach; and how this may help with your outbreaks and things of sorts.

Did you know that stress can be seen? Lol as simple or as cliche as that sounds it's so true. Stress, overwhelming emotions and imbalanced wellness can be seen in your face 100%! I can tell when I'm stressing, overeating or over thinking by the way my skin reacts. Preferably my face.

Which is why for me, in my opinion, skincare products alone won't do it! Unless they have some sort of magical formulation that can take away the look of "no sleep" and "up, worried" away. I mean truly digest what I'm saying. When you are at the top of your game, unbothered, loved and your environment is nourishing, your skin glows hella' different.

It looks clearer, fuller and just glows! And when you're not feeling like the powerful cosmic being you are, your skin will scream "rest bish", "drink more water", or "let that shit go"... At least mine do lol. Oh and don't let me cry, my eyes look like I've walked in a field of allergens! I look older and literally TIRED!

So, I'd like to share with you all some things I personally do to create a holistic wellness approach to caring for my skin and body. I also included some products of mine that I use to combat "stressed skin".

  1. I'm learning to honor things that I cannot control nor change. I am so used to being in control that when it's not in my hands, I feel out of order, powerless and slightly afraid because well It's outta' my hands.

  2. Breathe work and meditation in the risings help set the tone for my day. Carving that time out for myself to be equipped in spiritual armor against seen and unseen attacks in this reality is a real game changer. I light my hand-dipped essential oil incense, chant my mantras and show gratitude for my existence and my walk in this reality.

  3. Drinking water. Sounds simple or cliche' right? I know but man does it have its benefits honey! Drinking good, clean water to help regulate my bodily systems and clean out waste & toxins is so clutch. I haven't' been drinking alcohol a lot lately. (As I use to keep me a good ol' wine bottle in my fridge). And I can see it within my body and my face.

  4. Incorporating more herbs, roots and plant-based ingredients in my foods, smoothies and drinking my clear skin tea helps me feel good and look good. Nature is definitely a healer and adding more of mother nature's ingredients in my life only adds to my overall well-being.

  5. Leaving behind things, places and people that only speak to traumatic sides of me versus the healing and healed sides of me. Making sure I operate only in spaces that push me, love me and challenge me in healthy ways. You know, just being in environments that reflect where I'm going instead of where I've grown from.

Finding better ways to "overeat" my stresses away by enjoying more fruit that benefits the skin and body both.

I mean I can go on and on about the many things that add up a great deal in my life and impacts my overall skin and body care. The 5 things listed above are some really great ways to get started on looking and feeling your best. That and releasing all things that just don't serve you. Leaning on your relationship with your creator, faith and intuition.

So, in all, the less we stress, the better our skin preserves itself and creates a healthier, youthful appeal. Mind your business, and the business that pays you. Show up authentically, be honest about where you are in your entire life journey, seek guidance, work on self-mastery, love yourself and those around you who love you truly and use my all-natural products. Your skin will thank you for it!
